The Annual Meeting Events are less than 10 days away. If you haven't registered, we suggest that you make your room reservations and complete the response form right away. Camelback's rooms are in high demand this month and space that has been blocked will soon be released. Please make you room reservations right away if you have not already done so.

A response form is attached to this email. Please use it to let us know which of the events you will be attending. The form contains instructions for responding by either fax or telephone. Please send in your reply at your earliest convenience.

 Annual Meeting Events Schedule

The following events will be held October 17-19, 2013, in connection with the 41st Annual Meeting of the Council of Co-Owners of the Marriott Resort Hotel Condominium - Camelback Inn:

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17

9:30 A.M. TO 11:30 A.M

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS will be held in the CHOLLA ROOM
Please check the Display at Registration for any changes in location

A MEETING OF THE COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE will follow the Board Meeting.

An informal discussion with Co-Owners will follow immediately thereafter.

A continental breakfast will be available starting at 9:00 A.M.

All Co-Owners are invited.

COCKTAIL RECEPTION at the MANOR HOUSE

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18

CO-OWNERS GOLF TOURNAMENT at the MOUNTAIN SHADOWS GOLF CLUB

The bad news is that the Camelback Golf Courses will not be available for play during the Annual Meeting Events. The good news is that we have broken the monotony of playing at the same course every year and been able to arrange a block of morning tee times at the Mountain Shadows Golf Club located a block from the Resort. All playing levels are invited to join in the fun. Tournament Fee includes greens fees and cart for 18 holes and prizes for the winning teams. Lunch will be available at the Mountain Shadows Golf Grille until 3 p.m.

$50.00 per person

9:00 A.M.

CO-OWNERS TENNIS TOURNAMENT at the CAMELBACK TENNIS COURTS

Players of all levels are welcome. Tournament Fee includes court fees and prizes for the winning participants.
Spectators are welcome.

$20.00 per person

Dinner at Camelback Golf Club

Transportation from the Resort to the Golf Course will be available.

Although the rebuilt course will not be available for play until November, this is your opportunity to enjoy a fine meal under the Arizona sky surrounded by the beauty of the new and almost ready course.

$75.00 per person - please indicate on your response form if you will need transportation.

 Golf Tournament at Mountain Shadows

The Co-Owner's Annual Golf Tournament is one of the recreational highlights of the weekend. As you may be aware, the golf course formerly called Indian Bend has been completely reconstructed and will soon reopen. The new name of the course is Ambiente. The course will complement the Padre course but with a completely different look and feel.

The final stages of construction have required the closing of both golf courses for October. There is no need to worry. We have made arrangements for this year's tournament to be held at the Mountain Shadows Golf Club. Although the Mountain Shadows Resort has been closed for several years, the golf course has remained open and continues to be a local favorite. The course offers breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains and the executive layout provides for a faster round of play.

Our format is a best ball scramble. The $50.00 entry fee covers greens fees, cart for 18 holes and prizes for the winning teams. Lunch is available at the Mountain Shadows Golf Grille. The Bell Stand can store your clubs and provide transportation. Rental Clubs are available at Mountain Shadows.

 Special Friday Night Event

Your Board of Directors has planned a special dinner event for Friday, October 18 at the Camelback Golf Club's Lakeview Pavilion. Transportation will be available from the circle and if you arrive early, you will have the opportunity for a tour and first look at the new Ambiente Golf Course which is scheduled to open in November.

The evening will begin with cocktails served on the outdoor terrace offering great views of the new golf course at sunset. A spectacular buffet dinner has been carefully planned by the Resort's event management team and will feature a selection of entries, salads, side dishes and desserts prepared by the Resort's award winning culinary staff.

This will be a special evening you won't want to miss. The $75.00 charge for dinner will be billed to your room. If you are not staying at the resort and wish to attend, please make payment arrangements with Wanda when you send in your event registration.

 Submit your questions in advance

At the Annual Meeting on Saturday morning Co-Owners will hear reports from the officers of the Board of Directors as well as the Resort's General Manager and the Partnership's General Partner. Their remarks are followed by a question and answer session.

This year, in addition to questions from the floor, we are providing the opportunity for Co-Owners to submit questions in advance. Please feel free to submit your questions even if you cannot attend the meeting. We will report back the answers in a future email.

 Making your reservations

You can request your room reservations at Camelback Inn directly on your computer from the Co-Owners website which is www.camelbackowners.com. After you key in your password, go to the "Reservations Form" page and follow the instructions. You will receive a confirming email from the Camelback Inn Reservations Office.

You have the option of using vacation time or paying the special Annual Meeting Rate of $125.00 per night. If you wish to be booked at the $125.00 rate and avoid being charged vacation days, please request the meeting rate in the special instructions box.

We also recommend that you make Spa and dinner reservations prior to your arrival. Scottsdale is a popular destination in October and restaurants fill up quickly. The Inn's Concierge Staff is available to help with all of your reservation requests including dining and entertainment off property. Contact the Inn at 480-948-1700.

It is recommended that any Co-Owner wishing to dine at BLT Steak Thursday, Friday or Saturday make dinner reservations well in advance. Rita's Kitchen can usually accommodate last minute arrangements.

You may contact the Hertz rental desk which is located next to the bell stand to arrange a pick-up at the Camelback Inn location. The direct number is 480-948-8450

 Casting your ballot

The Nominating Committee announced its recommendations in a letter dated September 1, 2013. The Committee's nominations are:

James Montgomery, Jr. - second term
Charles Clist - first term

The official ballot is posted on the web site and was mailed to all Co-Owners except those who requested not to receive the hard copy mailing. You may cast your vote by regular mail, fax or email as indicated on the ballot. You can also cast your vote immediately by sending a reply to this email.

Exact name of owner or owners
Unit numbers
Vote for two (2) Directors; nominees James Montgomery, Jr. and Charles Clist or you may write in the name of a Co-Owner not on the ballot.
Approval of 2014 Budget: Yes, No or Abstain
