Final Reminder - Camelback Annual MeetingOct 8, 2014

The Camelback Annual Meeting Events begin in two weeks. Please make your room and event reservations right away if you have not done so already. Our rooms are in high demand and the space we have blocked for Co-Owners attending the Annual Meeting will be made available to the general public at the end of this week.

 Notice of Annual Meeting sent to all Co-Owners

The official mailing for the Annual Meeting of the Council of Co-Owners has been send by regular mail to all Co-Owners except those who have chosen to receive only electronic notices from the Condominium Association. All documents related to the Annual Meeting are now posted on the Camelback Owners Web Site.

If you have already made your reservations, please don't forget to cast your ballot. If you have not made your reservations, you should cast your ballot and make room reservations and event reservations directly on your computer now. You will find all of the documents you need to make event reservations and cast your ballot on the "What's New" page. Notice and Agenda for the Council of Co-Owners and Board Meetings are posted on the "Meetings and Events" page.

If you also received notice by regular mail and want to stop receiving hard copy mailings, please visit the "Update Profile" page on the web site and check the appropriate box to discontinue receiving notices in the mail.

8:00 a.m. Golf Outing at Mountain Shadows Golf Club ($45.00)
2:00 p.m. Tour of Taliesin West by private bus ($45.00)
(No group activities are scheduled for Friday evening.)

8:30 a.m. Continental Breakfast
9:00 a.m. Annual Meeting of the Council of Co-Owners
2:00 p.m. Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors
6:00 p.m. Evening Reception hosted by Marriott International, Inc. (complimentary)

The new Ambiente Golf Course at Camelback will be closed in October for over seeding and the Padre Course is unavailable due to a prior commitment to a large group. Mountain Shadows is a challenging 18-hole executive course with spectacular views and a fast pace of play that will allow golfers to be finished by 11:30 a.m. leaving plenty of time for those participating in the afternoon tour.

We have arranged for a tour of Taliesin West by private bus from 2-5 p.m. Taliesin West was Frank Lloyd Wright's winter residence and has been beautifully restored by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. We will visit Wright's private office and living quarters, the Cabaret Theater, Music Pavilion and the dramatically beautiful garden terraces and walkways. Space is limited to 30, so sign up now!

 How to make room and event reservation requests

You can make your room reservations at Camelback Inn directly on your computer from the Co-Owners website, www.camelbackowners.com. After you key in your password, go to the "Reservations Form" page and follow the instructions. You will receive a confirming email from the Camelback Inn Reservations Office. If you wish to take advantage of the special meeting rate of $125.00 instead of using vacation days, please note this in the comments section.

To register for the weekend activities including golf and the Taliesin Tour, go to the "What's New" page and click on the link to the activities form. You can print the form, fill it in and fax it to Wanda Shopinski at 480-596-7027 or you can scan the completed form and send it as an email attachment to Wanda at wanda@cbicondo.com. If you prefer, you can send your email without the attachment. Please be sure to list the events you plan to attend and the number in your party. You can call Wanda at 480-948-7939.

You will also find the Annual Meeting Ballot on the "What's New" page. You can print the ballot, fill it in and then return it via fax to (312) 853-8412, as an email attachment to cbiboardmatters@gmail.com or in an envelope via regular mail to the address shown on the ballot. You may also vote via email without returning the ballot provided you include in your email message the following information:

1. Unit Number or Numbers
2. Name of Owner or Owners exactly as listed on your deed
3. Names of two (2) candidates for Directors
4. Approval of Budget vote - Yes, No or Abstain
5. Approval of Minutes vote - Yes, No or Abstain

Return the email to cbiboardmatters@gmail.com or fax it to (312) 853-8412. To be counted, an absentee ballot must be received no matter how it is cast by 5 p.m. AZ Time Friday, October 17, 2014. An in-Person Ballot may be delivered to the Board Secretary at the Annual Meeting on October 18, 2014, up to the time that the Board President announces that voting has closed.

As previously announced, the Nominating Committee recommends that Biffie Kelly of Phoenix, AZ, be elected to serve a second term as director and that Christopher Gable of Altoona, PA, be elected to serve a first term as director. As of the date of this letter the Secretary has received no petitions requesting that other names be placed in nomination.

After you have cast your vote and made your room and event reservations, we recommend that you also make reservations for Spa services and restaurants prior to your arrival. The Inn's Concierge Staff is available to help with all of your reservation requests including dining and entertainment off property. Contact the Inn at 480-948-1700.

Hertz cars can be reserved directly with the Hertz agents on property by calling 480-948-8450. The Hertz office is located next to the bell stand.

 Camelback room rates are changing in October

The number of days your unit will be charged when you use vacation time at a reciprocal property is based upon the rate in effect the day of your stay at the participating hotel. We suggest that you consult this page prior to making your plans if you need to forecast your vacation time usage. Please keep in mind that rates are subject to change.

 Units Available for Resale were updated September 5, 2014

The list of those Units that are currently being offered for sale by other Co-Owners was updated on September 5, 2014. To view the list, log on and click the "Units Available for Resale" tab on the left.

You can also download the current Camelback Inn Property Map which shows the location of all the Condominium Units.
