Special Notice from the Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee has learned that James Montgomery, member of the Board of Directors, has resigned his position on the Board as he is no longer eligible to serve in that capacity. This leaves an unexpected vacancy on the Board for the remaining one year left on his term, October 2016-October 2017.

The Nominating Committee previously prepared and had sent with the Annual Meeting mailing its report recommending to the Co-Owners Randy Pugh for the one, full 4 year term, that needs to be filled. Ballots for that one position were sent in the Annual Meeting mailing and those ballots will continue to be valid.

As the Nominating Committee is tasked with the responsibility of recommending to the Co-Owners at the Annual Meeting one nominee for each position on the Board that needs to be filled, the Committee will now need to resume its consideration of persons interested in serving on the Board for this newly opened position and making a recommendation to the Co-Owners at the Meeting. Therefore, anyone interested in serving on the Board for this one (1) year term should contact John Heller, chairman of the Nominating Committee at heller4512127@comcast.net as soon as practical and provide your reasons for wanting to serve and your qualifications. Please include contact information including cell phone number and good times to contact you.

The Nominating Committee of John Heller, Joel Stein and Ellen Yellen will be meeting before the Annual Meeting scheduled for October 29, 2016, to conclude its deliberations and will make a recommendation at the Meeting on a candidate for the open position.

As this is an unexpected development, you are reminded that the bylaws do not allow for nominations from the floor but do provide that    •  "Nominations for the Board of Directors may also be made by petition filed with the Secretary at least seven days prior to the annual meeting, which petition shall be signed by ten or more Owners and include a letter signed by the nominee(s) named therein indicating his (their) willingness to serve as a member of the Board of Directors if elected."

 Marriott-Starwood merger is now complete

On September 23, 2016, Marriott International completed the acquisition of Starwood Hotels and Resorts thereby creating the world's largest hotel company. Please keep in mind that the newly acquired Starwood brands are not currently available under the reciprocal exchange program. You should also be aware that Marriott plans to operate the Marriott Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) loyalty programs separately for at least the next two years. If you are currently a member of SPG, you can now link your account to your Marriott Rewards account to receive Platinum Level benefits from both programs and to be able to transfer points between accounts. If you do not have an SPG account, you can apply for one and then transfer points for reward stays at Starwood brand properties. For details visit www.marriott.com.
