Camelback Co-Owners Receive Titanium Elite Status |
In a mailing from Marriott on March 22, 2019, we were informed that "based on the long-term and special relationship Marriott has with Camelback Inn" Co-Owners will receive Titanium Elite Status. This announcement is in keeping with Marriott's long standing recognition of Camelback Co-Owners by awarding us with top-tier status, a practice that began decades ago, even prior to the establishment of a points-based loyalty program.
Marriott merged the program formerly known as Marriott Rewards with the Starwood and Ritz-Carlton programs in August, 2018 and renamed the combined program "Marriott Bonvoy" on February 13, 2019. Titanium Elite Status is awarded to participants who stay at least 75 nights at Marriott properties, the same requirement as for earning the former Platinum Elite Status that Co-Owners enjoyed under the Marriott Rewards Program.
We are pleased that all Co-Owners are now eligible for Titanium Elite Status. To check on your current elite status level, sign on to your account at marriott.com. If your account does not currently reflect Titanium Elite Status, rest assured the General Partner and Marriott will be contacting you soon to ensure that proper adjustments are made.
The relationship between the Camelback Co-Owners and Marriott is truly extraordinary. We are most grateful to Marriott for this meaningful expression of their appreciation for our loyalty and support.

Bill Marriott Blogs about Celebrating his Birthday at Camelback Inn |
The latest from Bill Marriott's Blog - Marriott on the Move was sent to subscribers on March 28, 2019. The Chairman writes: I turned 87 years old this week and I have to say, I feel great. I spent the day, as I always do, with my family at Camelback Inn in Arizona. We've been going there for more than 50 years. I have 21 great-grandchildren now, ranging in age from 2 weeks to 12 years old. Eighteen of them were able to attend. We were all dancing and singing and having fun. It was a real thrill to be part of it. Family is really what life is about.

CBI Rates Updated Through September |
Rates for Standard and Sundeck Rooms through September 30 are now posted on the Co-Owner's Website. These are the rates used to calculate the number of days charged to your unit when you vacation at a reciprocal property. The rates can be found on the Reciprocal Properties Page where you will also find details about getting your reimbursement check and how to obtain a report of time charged to your unit.
|
Reciprocal Exchange Reminders |
Under the Reciprocal Exchange Program, you can use vacation time for stays at any full service Marriott, JW Marriott, Renaissance, or Ritz-Carlton. All properties in these four brands are eligible. On rare occasions a hotel will change "flags", hotel-speak for switching brand affiliation. If you stay at a property that has changed to a brand which is not eligible, then you will not be reimbursed. Accordingly, if, for example, a Marriott you plan to visit becomes a Hilton prior to your visit, you should change your plans. You cannot be reimbursed if the property is not a participating brand on the night of your stay. It's always a good idea to re-check the website prior to your visit. By doing this, you may also find that a lower rate for the same room may have become available.

New Hotel Openings |
During the first quarter of 2019 Marriott opened Renaissance properties in Minneapolis and Cancun, Mexico. A new JW Marriott premiered in China and full service Marriott hotels opened in Hong Kong and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Later this year new Ritz-Carlton hotels are planned for China and Morocco. JW Marriott hotels are preparing to open in Edmonton, Alberta; Savanah, Georgia; and a JW Resort will debut in the Indian Ocean nation of Maldives. Full service Marriott hotels are in the pipeline for Nepal, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Columbia, and Malta.
Enjoy your travels and happy spring!
