Fellow Co-Owners,
At our meeting on June 8, the Board voted in favor of holding the Annual Meeting scheduled for October 10, 2020, in a virtual format where all participation will be by telephone or computer connection. The Board also wants to hear from the full ownership before finalizing these plans.
Included with this mailing is a survey asking if you plan to participate in the virtual meeting and inviting your comments about the decision. You will also be receiving a separate email giving notice of the next Board meeting that will be held on July 8, 2020.
Annual Meeting costs. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made dramatic reductions to the Co-Owner approved budget including the deferral of most legal work and elimination of travel costs. By holding the Annual Meeting in a virtual format, we can eliminate most of the meeting and event costs which last year were in the neighborhood of $15,000.
There will still be the costs for audio-visual support, and to make the best use of the technology available to us, it is important that you let us know how you plan to participate.
Business we plan to cover at the meetings. Even though we expect to meet in a virtual setting, there is still important business to address including:
• Election of a new Director
• Adoption of the 2021 Budget
• Reports from the officers of the Council
• Reports from the Committees
• Report of Condominium Unit Sales
• Presentation from the General Partner
• Presentation from Marriott and the Camelback General Manager
• Election of Officers and Committees to serve for the 2020-2021 year
Annual Meeting materials will be sent electronically. Another cost saving measure we will implement will be to distribute all advance materials by email. Only Co-Owners who have not given us email addresses will receive the package via regular mail.

I know that many of you look forward to returning to Camelback in October and will miss the opportunity for fellowship that we have come to enjoy. I share your disappointment. These are unusually difficult times and the Board is acting out of concern for the financial interests of the Association and the health and safety of our Co-Owners.
