Annual Meeting 2020 - A Different Experience |
The Annual Meeting of the Council of Co-Owners will be held on October 10, 2020 using GoTo Webinar technology enabling Co-Owners to participate on their computers or by telephone if unable to connect to the internet. The Board of Directors recently determined that a virtual meeting would be appropriate in order to protect the health and safety of our owners and to save the expenses associated with an in-person meeting. Over 100 Co-Owners responded to a survey and expressed overwhelming support of the Board's decision.
The Communications Committee has spent many hours working on the agenda and coordinating technical requirements. In many ways this type of event requires more preparation than a traditional in-person meeting. As in the past, the event will include presentations by Marriott and the General Partner. The Committee is confident that, even though we will be missing the Arizona experience and personal connections, this year's meeting will provide the information you expect, and a platform that will offer you an opportunity to present your questions and concerns to the Board, General Partner, and Marriott.

Look for your Annual Meeting Invitation in Late August |
To accommodate the expected number of attendees, owners will receive an invitation from meetings@camelbackowners.com. If you plan to participate, please accept the invitation which will enable the meeting administrator to identify participants, confirm attendance, and facilitate a more productive and efficient meeting experience. The invitation will include complete instructions for how to accept the invitation, connect to the meeting, and submit questions. At about the same time, you will receive the Annual Meeting advance information package including your ballot which can be returned via email. Please be sure that your profile on the CBI website is up to date and includes your correct email address. Only Co-Owners who do not use email will receive Annual Meeting information via U.S. Mail.

Upcoming Board Meetings |
The next Board of Directors Meeting will be held on August 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Arizona Time. Agenda and instructions for attending via computer were sent earlier. The Board will be scheduling additional meetings prior to the Annual Meeting primarily for the purpose of holding practice sessions to become familiar with the technical requirements of the virtual Annual Meeting format.
Co-Owners may attend board meetings via the Join.Me application, and the notice and agenda for board meetings includes instructions for attending. Please be aware that it is best to attend via your computer or smart phone. If you want to attend via telephone (i.e., calling into the meeting), please do not also connect via your computer, as it makes for a poor connection and causes static.

Minutes of Recent Board Meetings |
The board met on April 20, June 8, and July 8. The minutes for the April and June meetings are available on the CBI Co-Owner website (www.camelbackowners.com) under Meetings & Events.
Board of Directors Items discussed at the July 8 meeting included Annual Meeting issues and an update of the Phoenix hotel market. When approved by the Board of Directors, minutes to the July 8 meeting will be available on the website.

Reciprocal Exchange Program Remains Suspended |
The Reciprocal Exchange Program continues to be suspended due to current economic conditions. Your Titanium Elite Level privileges continue in force and you may be able to take advantage of special offers when redeeming Marriott Bonvoy Rewards Points. You may also continue to use vacation time in your Camelback Unit as provided by the Limited Partnership Agreement. Reservation requests can be made on your computer. The General Partner plans to distribute a financial update later in August.

Remember to Notify us of Changes of Ownership |
Section 20 of the Condominium Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions requires the Board of Directors to approve any ownership transfer other than an inheritance. Scott Hunt can assist with details. Please also notify the Board Secretary of any change of address or email contact information to assure that you continue to receive all electronic mailings.
